Whether you’re a budding young musician, or a well trained concert pianist, a Piano Lamp is a great asset for musicians of all skill levels. In a time when the advent of electricity waited in the distant future, pianists had to play by candlelight. Not only was this a dangerous practice, it was also ineffective. Candlelight was too dim and weak to properly illuminate the sheet music, and the direct glare from the candle caused considerable eye strain for the musician. In an effort to reduce the glare, a cover was invented and placed on the back of the candle to direct the light away from the player’s eyes and onto the music sheet.

When electricity became available, a similar, hood-like cover was placed over the light bulb, and the piano lamp officially entered the music scene. It rapidly increased in popularity and took its rightful place in the homes of music lovers everywhere

The three most common piano lamp styles are:

  1. Shelf (Designed to sit on top of the piano.)
  2. Floor (Sits on the floor.)
  3. Clip On (Designed to clip directly onto a sheet of music.)

While most piano lamps are designed to use your basic 40-watt light bulbs, new lamps have recently hit the market offering LED lighting capabilities. These types of lamps are preferred by consumers seeking out a more energy efficient lighting option.

The most common style of Piano Lamp is the shelf style lamp. This style of piano lamp sits on top of the piano, and usually comes with adjustable height options. It also comes with a weighted base which can be constructed of a variety of materials including fine stones such as marble and granite. These types of materials provide much needed weight and also add to the overall beauty of the lamp. The body of the shelf style piano lamp can be made up of many different materials. Some of the more popular metals used for these lamps are chrome and brass, but enameled surfaces are also available. Enameled surfaces come in a variety of colors and often come at a more affordable price.

The cost of a piano lamp can range in price from forty dollars to hundreds of dollars, but with all of the options available, you can be sure to find one that is right for both you, and your pocketbook.

You are probably already familiar with the function and use of loudspeakers which are connected by wiring to a device such as your computer, TV or home cinema. Wireless speakers aren’t really too much different from this, except, as you might expect, they use wireless technology. Both speakers transmit audio signals (digital or analog), but wireless speakers use radio frequency (referred to as RF in the rest of the article) waves.

It should be noted that the RF range is limited, but is long and powerful enough to be used in your home, a cinema or something of similar size. Wireless speakers are made from two special units that must both function properly in order for the device to work. The first unit is nothing more than a simple loudspeaker, but with an RF receiver. Logically, the other part is the RF transmitter unit that connects to any audio output or audio device such as mp3 players, hi-fi, TV, computers etc. The best thing about wireless speakers is that the transmitter stays fixed in one spot, but you can move the speakers as much as you like. There is no complex wiring to give you headaches and you can always find a nice place to fit your speakers. You can also position them on opposite sides of the room to achieve different sound effects, like the ones that are made in cinemas. It goes without saying that wireless speakers are surly a must if you are trying to create your own home cinema!

However, this system by which wireless speakers work has received its criticism, and while some will not have any problem with it others may have some issues with it. The problem is that there are other waves similar as RF ones, and wireless speakers tend to pick them up as well sometimes. Sources of these disturbances are cordless phones and their signals.

Do you enjoy playing the guitar but you want to improve on your guitar playing skills? If you enjoy playing the guitar and you want to improve on your guitar playing skills, then I have a few recommendations for you. First, let me start off this article by sharing with you my personal story on how I learned how to play the guitar by using a computer program. My name is Richard Adams and I have taught myself how to play the guitar by using a computer program. This program is known as the Jamorama guitar software for the use of personal computers and laptops. I first began using the Jamorama guitar software when I was visiting a friend’s house. I was chilling with my friend when I noticed him playing his guitar while reading off guitar lessons on his computer screen. I was amazed at how well this guitar tutoring program works. I decided to learn guitar with Jamorama after watching his demonstration of the program.

keep your child from being a music/movie pirate - eCampusTours “Where can I get free mp3 downloads for my iPhone ?” asked John.

“Free mp3 downloads will just get you in trouble like they did Steve,” I replied.

Steve was a mutual friend of ours who got in deep trouble with the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) a couple of years back. He used to download copyrighted material from peer-to-peer metworks, and also share them. Now it seemed John wanted to follow in his footsteps, and I was quick to intervene. I had seen how the lawsuit Steve got from the RIAA ruined his credit, and forced him to sell his house.

The lawsuit was for $315,000 ! At first he couldn’t believe it, but when the Feds came knocking at his house two weeks after issuing him that lawsuit he knew it was no joke.

He managed to settle out of court for about 40% of that amount.

Yamaha or Peavey?
Posted on December 11th, 2011 at 8:00 PM by admin

I know that in the realm of keyboards, Yamaha is certainly king. But in the realm of speakers and PA systems, that question remains open. I think that this is a very important thing to consider, and I hope that many people out there will be able to know what is right from what is wrong. I know that the Yamaha Stagepas 300 is certainly a very interesting and intriguing little product, and one which will enable a lot of people to really hear the sound even in a crowded venue. I think that it’s great for concerts and other gatherings. But on the other hand, it’s also possible that many other people will be able to get the most out of it, and to really bring it back home. I don’t know about other people out there, and I also believe that there’s much to be said in this area.

There are two types of live bands, one performing original songs and the other playing songs that were made known by other music artists. If you live in Utah, have decided to throw a party, and you have also decided to make it as exciting as you possibly can, it’s important to include a live band and not a DJ. DJs are great if that’s what your budget will allow, but as far as boosting a party’s energy level, they can’t compare to a live band. But what type should be hired, Utah bands that play cover tunes or Utah bands that only play original tunes? What would be the best choice for adding high-energy excitement to your event? Hands down, it’s better to hire a live cover band playing tunes that everyone knows and loves.

Party guests love to dance, and they definitely prefer to dance to songs they are already familiar with, rather than songs they have never heard before. It may be alright to let the band play one or two originals, but the bulk of the night should be spent playing hot danceable hits that your guests already know and love. This is what cover bands do.

No matter where you’re located in Utah, you’ll be able to find great and entertaining Salt Lake City bands, Park City Utah party bands, or other local Utah bands. Simply go online and start searching for a good band. However, before beginning your search it’s always a good idea to know a few things up front.

The first thing you should finalize is your budget. And this doesn’t mean figuring out the maximum amount of money you’re willing to spend on a great live Utah band – it means you need to figure out what your total budget will be for the whole event. The best approach is to determine how much money you have to spend for the entire event, including entertainment, food, decorations, invitations, and anything else you may have in mind. Doing it this way allows you a little bit of wiggle room if the band ends up being more expensive than you had hoped for.

If for some reason you locate the band of your dreams, and you simply have to have them, but they’re just outside of your price range, you’ll need to decide if you should cut costs on other party expenses to free up the additional money it will take to book this band, all while staying within your budget. Sometimes it may be necessary to cut corners in some areas to free up the necessary money to get a high quality Utah band, but it’s the entertainment that creates memorable events, so booking a great high-energy band is important if you expect your party to be a cut above other parties.

Recording has become one of the latest trends today. Musicians all over the world create music as an expression of their thoughts, emotional feelings, and experience. All you have to do is put up all the equipments and record it on your computer with all those flexible hardware accessories. You can actually do it at home in your own home recording studio.

Listening on your own track is fun. It’s one way of learning through your own style and technique. You just have to have an extra space at home which will become your studio. It doesn’t have to be spacious as long at you are comfortable and you’re free to do recording inside the room.

Home recording is an advantage for beginners who would want to learn to play and record music. They can create their own style, mix their own tune, and share their own music to others. There are many other things that you will learn when recording at your home recording studio.
